The Two Body Problem
Performance lecture, 2024
The Two Body Problem is an experimental performance lecture that starts from the provocation: what if we had not one, but two bodies? How would this change the decisions we made and the risks we took? Would we just spend time in the ‘good’ body and leave the other one at home? And what is a ‘good’ body, anyway?
First supported through Vitalstatistix's Adhocracy and Incubator residencies and Bodies of Work initiative, this work forms part of a series of performance lectures about pop music, labour, and the body. Detouring through queer theory and political philosophy via pop music about the materiality of the body, the work uses Beyoncé and Plato to playfully imagine the body as a multiplicity, cared for collectively rather than by individuals alone.
Make it stand out
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
